Meet Our Team
Julie Sadhu
Founder, Director & Supervisor of Prime Psychotherapy
“I have always believed that the most powerful thing you can offer another person is a space where they feel truly seen without judgment, without pressure, and without having to earn it.”
People are endlessly complex. To me, that complexity has never been a challenge; it has always been an invitation. From early on, I was drawn to understanding why we think the way we think, feel the way we feel, and carry what we carry. That profound curiosity became the foundation of my life’s work and the clinical philosophy behind Prime Psychotherapy.
Over more than two decades of working with individuals across cultures, continents, and chapters of life, I have come to believe one thing deeply: most people are not broken. They are simply moving through a world that rarely slows down long enough to support their inner well-being. My goal as a clinician and director has always been to create a space that changes, somewhere you can show up exactly as you are, feel genuinely held, and engage in therapeutic work that is honest, practical, and deeply rooted in what matters to you.
The Vision Behind Prime Psychotherapy
When I founded Prime Psychotherapy, I envisioned a community built on comprehensive, accessible, and evidence-based mental health care. Today, we have brought together a dedicated team of experienced, culturally sensitive therapists who work with youth, adults, and families.
As the Clinical Supervisor for our practice, I directly oversee and guide our team of therapists. This ensures that every clinician at Prime Psychotherapy upholds the highest standards of evidence-based care, ethical practice, and deep clinical excellence. Whether you work directly with one of our specialized associates under my clinical supervision or with me, you are receiving elite, highly structured care.
Understanding that identity and background deeply shape our mental wellness, our practice proudly offers care in multiple languages. Every treatment plan we design across our practice is highly collaborative, tailored, and built around your unique life, never a template.
Strategic Clinical Focus Areas
Whether you work directly with me or with one of our specialized associates, our practice is structured to help you move past the “stuck” phases of life:
For Parents: Reconnect with Your Teen
You love them deeply, yet somehow the distance keeps growing and frustration has started to replace the connection you once had. We help families break down emotional walls and rebuild trust.
For Adults: Find Your Footing Again
If career burnout, unresolved experiences, or exhausting life transitions have left you feeling overwhelmed, we provide the tools to help you ground yourself and rediscover your direction.
For Youth & Young Adults: Carry Less, Live More
The modern pressures of academics, friendships, and identity development can feel like too much to hold alone. We offer youth a safe, non-judgmental space to build lasting resilience.
From Overwhelmed to Empowered: What Changes
Whatever brought you to this page, you don’t have to stay where you are. A different story is entirely possible when clinical structure meets deep compassion.
| Where You Are Now | Where Therapy Can Take You |
|---|---|
| Constant Conflict: Tension at home, growing emotional distance, and walls between you and the people you love. | Genuine Understanding: Clear, healthy communication patterns that bring you closer instead of further apart. |
| Overwhelmed & Burned Out: Feeling like you’re always running behind, never doing enough, and constantly surviving rather than living. | Clarity & Balance: Actionable boundaries, emotional regulation tools, and a sustainable sense of calm in daily life. |
Our Evidence-Based Therapeutic Modalities
We bridge compassionate dialogue with proven, data-driven therapeutic frameworks tailored to your specific goals:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Identify and shift the underlying thought patterns driving chronic anxiety, depression, and stress.
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Build actionable, real-world skills for distress tolerance and navigating intense emotions.
- Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT): Heal core relational wounds and nurture secure, lasting bonds with loved ones.
- Solution-Focused Therapy: Leverage your existing, unique strengths to build immediate, positive momentum.
- Mindfulness-Based Approaches: Find clarity, presence, and calm in the middle of everyday personal and professional demands.
Specialization in Workplace Well-Being & Executive Burnout
In addition to clinical practice, I specialize heavily in workplace well-being. My diverse background across clinical, academic, and corporate environments gives me a highly distinctive lens on professional stress. I am uniquely equipped to help high-achieving professionals and executives manage demanding careers, heavy workloads, and organizational pressure without losing themselves in the process.
Ready to Start Feeling Better?
I believe that true healing deserves both compassion and clinical structure. If you are looking for a collaborative partner in your mental wellness, I invite you to take the first step. I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute consultation just a private, comfortable conversation about what you’re facing and whether working together feels right for you.

Stacey Sukhra
Registered Psychotherapist • ADHD, Neurodivergence & IFS Therapy
Taking the first step toward mental health support can feel overwhelming, especially when you are used to managing everything on your own. Many of the high-functioning children, youth, and adults I partner with reach out because they feel quietly exhausted by the weight of masking their struggles. On the outside, you may be navigating demanding careers, academic expectations, or intense family dynamics. On the inside, you are feeling disconnected, stuck, or emotionally drained.
I provide a structured, evidence-based, yet deeply human therapeutic space where you can process psychological struggles, develop targeted executive functioning skills, and gain practical mental health tools. Together, we will work to move you past the feeling of survival mode and into a life of authentic clarity.
Specialist Care for Neurodivergence & Bicultural Identities
My practice focuses heavily on the intersection of modern psychological stressors, neurological formatting, and cultural backgrounds. I specialize in providing affirmative, culturally responsive psychotherapy for:
- High-Functioning Neurodivergence (ADHD & Autism): I offer tailored support for neurodivergent children, youth and adults navigating late-stage diagnoses, sensory overload, burnout, or executive dysfunction. My work focuses on building sustainable coping strategies that honour your unique processing style rather than forcing compliance with neurotypical standards.
- Bicultural Youth & Adults: Navigating the space between worlds can leave you feeling isolated. I specialize in helping individuals manage familial expectations, identity reconciliation, systemic challenges, and the unique psychological nuances of bicultural transitions and newcomer experiences.
- Complex Psychological Struggles & Trauma Recovery: Empowering high-achieving individuals to process underlying trauma, break free from perfectionism, manage persistent anxiety, and reclaim a sense of personal agency.
An Integrative, Evidence-Based Modality Framework
Therapy should never be a one-size-fits-all approach. I pull from several clinically proven, trauma-informed modalities to design a treatment plan specific to your cognitive and emotional blueprint:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): To identify and restructure unhelpful thought loops and perfectionistic patterns.
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): For robust emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.
- Internal Family Systems (IFS): To explore conflicting internal parts, self-doubt, and deep-seated emotional blocks.

A Grounded Approach to Lasting Wellness
True mental wellness is a dynamic, daily practice. Outside of my clinical practice, I find my own balance through meaningful connection — whether hosting community game nights or experimenting with complex recipes in the kitchen. I bring this same appreciation for structure, curiosity, and authentic human connection into every clinical session.
If you are looking for a collaborative psychotherapist who understands the complexities of a sharp mind, a diverse background, and a heavy emotional load, it would be my honour to walk alongside you.
